The Global South refers to developing orleast developed countries, the underdevelopment of a particular country / society, and alack of representation in the global political process. Another definition is inequalitybetween states, that is, an imbalance in the total economic and political power betweenstates. The Global South also signifies the "third world" or the logic of order, rejecting"colonialism" by critics of the United States, the Soviet Union or the Cold War era. Thesouthern part of the world is everywhere at the intersection of the complex politicaltopography of acceptance and conquest. Global South is a reality and a temporary job.Another lesson learned from this article concerns inequality between countriesand shows how this inequality necessitates the emergence of a category such as theGlobal South.
