Please demonstrate the effect on flow rate for the conditions given by changing the input
line diameter.
(1) Fluid: Injection water
Fluid gravity: 1.0
Fluid viscosity: 1.0 cp
Choke Size: 32/64”
Up stream (pump) pressure: 525 psi
Down stream (well head) pressure: 500 psi
This problem must be solved by successive substitution as shown in example 108.

For the D2/D1 ratio of
0.5 use the invariant part of Figure 1011 to estimate
C=1.025.
With this value of C, compute the first estimate of q = 3,698 bbl/day.
Now compute the Reynolds Number using the first estimate for q.
Nre = 683,035.
Using this Reynolds Number the new value for C = 1.025.
Since the value for C has not changed the value of flow rate will not change.
So, q = 3,698 bbl/day using a 1” input line to a 32/64
