The communist fundamental class process is when the producers of the surplus is the one’s who are allocating the surplus . This process can exist when the means of production are owned privately and rented out, or when the means of production are collectively owned . It can also exist when the markets are planned by a board of planners or when there are private competitive markets and the market sets the price and demand . The FCP can also exist when the power configurations range from a democratic from or power to a despotic one . When examining the different variants in which the fundamental class process can exist you begin to see that with respect to each of the different property arrangements, allocation arrangements, and power configurations there can be both undermining aspects and supporting aspects . The versatility of this process is one that makes it hard to fully understand and connect to each other . With regard to property arrangements, when there is a collective ownership of the means of productions, that is to say that when the workers own the tools or MOP, there are two ways it can affect the fundamental class process . It can undermine the fundamental class process when the workers, who own the tools, allocate the surplus in a way in which angers the owners . The workers are already getting subsumed class payments so when they lobby for higher wages also this does not make the owners happy and they are forced to overthrow the workers . Already knowing that they are getting a dividend the worker selfishly take and extra wage . Collective ownership can help support the fundamental class process because it gives the workers power to appropriate
