Depends if you are lower or higher class. If you are higher class, meaning you have more money you can buy sin for bigger price and be able to pay off for every sin for the rest of your life. If you are lower class you do not have that much comfort, you cannot much with it because lack of money. Taking advantage of poor people. They are always giving church money thinking about haven. It reduces the penalty you need to get out of the sin. When – Mid 16 th century (Circa 1570)- Martin Luther opposes the Indulgences Starting late 1100 or early 1200 Where- Western, Central and Eastern Europe (Holy land, Germany) Why- Catholicism was the main religion in western Europe in that time. The pope was one of the head authorities when it comes to after life an every day life. Europe was scared that some thigs would happen. Europeans thought that they are center of the earth. Because of the old testament Europeans think the sun evolved around them not they around the sun. They also think that if eclipse would happen that means God is doing that to punish them. They are using God for everything. Indulgences motivated nights to go on the first crusades.
2. Black Death ( Another name for the bubonic plague ) Who- If we are thinking about who died we are referring to most of the Europeans died (60%). (Mainly Europe but Asia as well). But if we talk about who did it is mostly rats. Rats would be holding in them that disease and that would go from one to another and also fleas would bite them and get their blood but as soon as they bite the person that blood would have an impact on people, so they would get the same thing what rets head. What- Black Death is named after swollen lymph nodes (buboes). It is bacterial infection. Whoever head it there would be some symptoms that would indicate you have a plague, but in the same time that could be something similar when your get cold. That would be fever and chills, being weak, headaches, pain in the stomach. But the most important thing we know someone has it when their skin is start being black, that means their skin is dying. When- Mid 14 th century (1334) Where- It started in Chine. Due to the trade ships and Mongolian camps in spread to Europe. Why- It sat the tone for the rest of the European development by killing all those who were working in community positions and allowing others to take their place. Disease that killed a great part of the population. It came from rats and was spread by fleas. Trade impulsed the spread of this disease.
