2Assessing Group Process IIOnce a group is established, the dynamics can shift and are more evident than in the initial stages that the group was formed. Group work can also illuminate the functioning of the individual members through the various roles assumed. Toseland and Rivas (2017) suggested that assessing groups on communication, cohesion, social integration, and influence can help indicate the need for intervention. Roles assumed by individual members can also show the health of the group.Group AssessmentOur group is not a typical treatment or process group. Brianna, Shajunia, and I communicate weekly through text, email, or Zoom to complete the project's requirement. Toseland and Rivas (2017) noted that communication patterns are established early in the group. It seems that our group is respectful to one another and equally gives verbal input. Toseland andRivas (2017) stated that cohesion can be measured by interpersonal attraction.
