Culture: The enduring behaviors, ideas, attitudes, and traditions shared by a large group of people and transmitted from one generation to the next 2. Cultural diversity a) Different languages, customs, and expressive behaviors suggest that much of our behavior is socially programmed, not innate b) Cultural diversity not just limited from country to country, but within countries as well 3. Norms: Rules for accepted and expected behavior. a) Norms are culturally defined 4. Personal Space: The buffer zone we like to maintain around our bodies. a)
