PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR Organizational Behavior Organizational behavior (OB) is an applied behavioral science that emerged from the disciplines of psychology, anthropology, political science, and economics (Borkowski, 2016). The main function of organizational behavior is to allow managers to study the individual as well as group dynamics in an organizational setting. The biggest goal of organizational behavior is to be able to understand the interactions with individuals as well as groups so that managers are able to get a better sense of behavioral responses and in turn be able to better manage such outcomes. Different Components There are four different components of organizational behavior which include: Leadership o Having a leader that is able to focus on building professional relationships with their staff while being open to receiving feedback from the other employees allows the manger to create a positive work environment that will leave room for employees to thrive.
