HRM 441 Chapter 10 Assignment A.Evaluate and improve Chern’s internal promotion process. Currently, Chern’s promotes sales associates based on supervisor recommendations and interviews. However, those who have been identified as potential promotion candidates have not received notification of this, and many have left Chern’s as a result of poor career planning. To improve Chern’s internal promotion process, Chern’s should set up a company wide database for those in manager and human resource positions to access. This database should keep a record of succession management planning to track open or soon-to-be open managerial positions, as well as those who are good candidates to fill those positions. Those selected as potentially being promoted should be notified of this step, as well as given the opportunity to decline being put on the succession plan. While Chern’s cannot stop those on the succession plan from sharing this information, Chern’s
