SEXUAL HARASSMENT 2Question OneCaritas Christi Health Care has clearly defined in its policy what is to be considered as sexual harassment. According to the policy, sexual harassment includes ‘sexually charged looks and gestures’ and ‘unnecessary touching of an individual.’ At least ten women have complained of these issues, and it is, therefore, clear that Haddad has done contrary to what is stipulated by the facility’s policies on sexual harassment. Given the high number of complaints and the senior position that Haddad holds in the Health Care, it is important to terminate him. His defense that his gestures are innocent and they are a reflection of his culture is irrational. However, before firing him, an investigation into the matter should be conducted to ascertain that the claims are valid. A warning and a suspension should also be given, before firing him.
