Gray Life Who We Are Not “When it comes to the Bible, everyone can agree that many of life’s questions can be answered in Biblical text, but modeling our lives after those depicted in the media continues to be a source of contentment .” The phrase “keeping up with the Jones’” has been taken to an entirely new level in the 21 st century . Wealth and greed has consumed the American public forcing a frenzy of money hungry Americans to began believing that money is the source of all happiness . Of course money cannot buy happiness but the constant rush to out do each other seemingly takes away the painful knowledge of not having what is wanted . First Timothy 6:10 supports this in saying, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil . Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs .” Drawn away from the true source of happiness, these hardworking wanderers end up digging themselves a hole
