Non applied research is examining a behavior and any variable that could relate. The exploration of the seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis include generalization, effective, technological, applied, behavioral, analytical, and conceptually systematic. The dimensions are used to distinguish the value of applied behavior analysis. The analytic behavior approach is applying principles to improve specific behaviors while evaluating if the changes traceable to the process (Baer, Wolf, and Risley, 1968). The seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis are used in the article, using token reinforcement to increase walking for adults with intellectual disabilities . Applied is a dimension that investigates how a socially significant behavior can impact an individual (Cooper, Heron, and Howard, 2007). This article utilizes walking as an applied leisure activity due to its social significant. Improving physical health can impact the lives of those participating in the study.
