Dennis Cardenas Life Span Development Prof. Washington June 27, 2020 Psychologist Dr. John Holland developed a theory that is a three-letter code that is made up of an individual’s three dominate personality types; three out of the six totals. These personality types are identified as a series of letters RIASEC. Each letter distinguishes a personality type: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Before taking this assessment, I had to analyze myself for who I was. I already knew myself to be a caring and a person of thought, but I was missing one more trait. Surprisingly enough, most of these occupations caught me off guard. I would never expect myself to be working in most of these positions. I encourage myself to analyze the results carefully and really take into consideration of who I was based on the results. For the past year I have devoted my studies to becoming a top case manager. As a case manager, it is their responsibility to accomplish clients care by treatment needs. Case managers help people with difficult situations with advice, providing services, and recovery treatments. When taking the assessment, I was asked a good amount of questions that involved helping or caring for others; which I strongly agreed to. As a result, (S), social represented me as a helper.
