Revised Learning Objectives: Spring 2008 Objective : After discussing my objectives with my internship moderator, I basically will be doing marketing work for the Santa Barbara Breakers basketball team. There are several marketing interns, but I am more focused on marketing Health Clubs and Churches. My job will allow me to explore the roles of a marketing position and all the traits that are required for it. Once the season begins in mid April, I will be asked to complete other tasks such as Radio announcements, Camera work, court-side assistance, ect…. Goals : 1. Learn about the roles of a marketer 2. Develop interpersonal skills further 3. Expand my knowledge of a marketing career 4. Experience a marketing position to see if it is the right career path for me in the future Actions : 1. Interact with local Health Clubs and Churches 2. Build a presentation to give to the General Managers of these organizations

Brainstorm on possible fundraising activities for the Breakers team (ie Halftime Shootouts) Results : At the end of the semester, we will be completing a term paper and a presentation to the class on the overall experience/s I had. This will include an analytical evaluation of the internship as well as a description of my job. Also, I will be giving an overview of the Santa Barbara Breakers organization while discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the company. I hope to help build recognition for the Breakers organization. They currently average 1200 attendance per game. The Breakers being on of the only major sports teams in the area, I see no reason why they cant see attendance levels rise, and hopefully my work can promote that....
