Alignment of HRM and Business Strategies For the human resource to positively impact an organization's performance, it must redefine its traditional operational role. Companies that want to have a deeper understanding of the union between human resource roles and performance, they should not ignore the alignment of HR with the organizational strategy. The human resource function needs to move towards a more strategic position. When such transformation does not occur, the role of HR will not be able to demonstrate its strategic benefits within the company (Becker, Huselid, Pickus, & Spratt, 1997 ; Ramlall, 2006 ; Reilly, Tamkin, & Broughton, 2007 ; Truss, 2008 ). One way HR strategies will successfully align with business strategies is by the HR professionals to better understand the company's goals and directions. Doing so will make it easier for them to have clearly define what success looks like. HR also needs to connect with the main stakeholders to figure out its current position, where they want it to be in a few months. Once the company is successful, the HR needs to understand the drivers of value as they will enable them to determine the current workflow and forecast the skillset required for the company to succeed.
