It is safe to say that contemporary communication technology plays a vital role in our daily lives. The internet is world-wide and of course used by many. Roughly about one quarter of American time spent on the internet is on Facebook, 15% of Americans tweet or use Twitter . The big number that we are looking at is that 2/3 of Americans use a social network site for one reason or another. Communication technology can be used for a positive change or a negative change. Using the internet, text messages, emails, etc. to spread the message about a cause or campaign is the fastest way to do it. Using these means is not only the fastest, but has the potential to reach a lot more people than if you were to wait for the paper, or word of mouth to spread the message. Hopefully with these new modern technologies doing the work, it will all have the positive change that you want it to have. For me it did.
