Professor Sahgal English 101 Course # 29299 Immigrant Rights are Civil Rights Since the early 2000’s each year 1,000,000 immigrants from all around the world have been coming to the United States, however it has increased throughout the time and has now reached up to 37,000,000 immigrants just this year. Natives have subsidize, buildup, and help grow the U.S economy for a long time. In the website The Hill they stated “The total cost of illegal immigration to federal, state and local taxpayers for the nation’s 12.5 million illegal aliens has increased to $116 billion annually”. People from diverse cultures add trillions of dollars to the U.S. gross domestic product as well as the increase of America’s largest generation. Immigrants come to the United States for a better future, they are willing to create their own job if necessary. Society needs to have empathy for immigrants because the U.S. has a huge population of consumers because of immigrants, they are taxpayers like all natives, and they are known for being job creators/entrepreneurs . There are 43.2 million immigrants living in the U.S. As the years goes by the rate of immigrants increase, they subsidizing the United States by reform legislation of the DREAM Act reducing the deficit, and comprehensive immigration increasing America’s GDP. In the website The Balance an article called How Does Immigration Affect the Economy and You? They stated “Immigrants highly affect certain workers in a few industries. Their impact is not widespread in the job market. But immigration does benefit most consumers”. That being told this shows how immigrants usually gets a lot of work due to their hard work or business, but it does not affect others businesses.
