02.06 Supporters of the War You will now evaluate the contributions that women, African Americans, and Native Americans made to the American Revolution by summarizing the contributions of each group. Write at least 2-3 sentences for each group, using details and information from the lesson, to explain their contributions to the time period. 1. Women - Women have done a lot to support and contribute to the fighting, such as leading marches on the battlefield, supporting the troops and overseeing families and enterprises while their husbands were at fighting. As most of their husbands were fighting in the war, the women had to keep up with taking care of the children and tending to business relations by maintaining the household. Women had a lot to do when the American Revolution began, but we began it even more. 2. African Americans - In the American Revolution, some of them fought because they wanted to fight, and others fought in exchange for freedom and some even fled slavery
