Michael Pacini Composition Paper Coms. 356 An important theme in Bringing up Baby is capturing love when you think you have found it. Throughout Bringing up Baby Susan is constantly trying to make sure that George doesn’t leave her side. She even goes to great lengths to make sure that she spends a lot of time with George so she can express her passion for George in many different ways. At first George expresses how much he hates Susan but as the movie continues George starts to slowly gain feelings for Susan by showing his care for her in moments she is “in trouble”. Throughout Bringing up Baby, Howard Hawks uses great composition to heighten the effect and information in the shot. In example 1 George has just slide down the rock face and right after him Susan follows. When Susan slides down the net she has goes right over George’s head as if she was trying to capture him. The shot is a balanced static shot at high to mid angle. When Susan slides down the rock face and gets George with the net is symbolic to what she has
