Defining Success Journal EntryMiracle DozierEnglish Composition IHow do you define college success? The definition really depends on you. You might think that"success" is trying to earn an undergraduate degree or attending a four-year college class.Perhaps success is a bachelor of science or a postgraduate degree or a PhD. Success is, perhaps,to receive a certificate of completion or completion of skill-based training. You might think ofother measures of college success, too like academic performance. For instance, in a course, youmight be unhappy with anything less than A, although this may depend on the complexity of thesubject. If you pass with a C, you might be perfectly happy with that C. But, no matter how youdefine success personally, you probably wouldn’t think it means earning a D or lower grade in aclass.To me, success is awakening and having the option to do the things I love each day, which isperusing and composing. Success is having the option to do those things when I decide to, notwhen I have the opportunity to or when I'm ready to fit them in the middle of a lot of other stuff I
