Megan WashingtonWeek 5 AssignmentISSC361 D002July 2, 2020IANAThe IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) keeps track of IP addresses, domain names and it administers the protocols to use with internet standards. They issue certain parameters to specify functions and behaviors that are relevant to the internet addresses as well as domain names. The protocols are set by the Internet Engineering Task force and they have oversite over the Internet Architecture board which keeps up the maintenance of tables and publications of request to assign parameters set by the IANA. They basically manage protocol parameters, IP addresses and Internet domain names. The numbers use in the addresses are developed by the Regional Internet Address Registries who is overlooked and regulated by the Address supporting Organization.
