The use of force in administering law and order in American society is what is referred to as police brutality. Introduction Police brutality has been an outcry in America since way back. Police brutality is defined as the application of extra force by police officers against civilians. Police brutality is depicted in various forms such as assault, torture, untruthful arrest, intimidation, and murder. Police brutality might be caused by an individual problem or the system problem. In terms of individual problems, it is the cops that are described as ruthless because some are racists, naturally bullies, and some with psychiatric problems which makes them violate human rights through brutalization. In terms of a system problem, the police management system and the judicial system always side with police officers reported with cases of police brutality (Alang et al., 2017) .
