Running Headers: NEW UNIFORMS FUNDRAISER PROPOSAL NEW Uniform Fundraiser ProposalEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical UniversityMGMT201Dr. Peter O'Reilly10.04.2020Introduction
NEW UNIFORMS FUNDRAISER PROPOSAL2The volleyball team at Mainland High School, the Buccaneers, have had a streak of strong seasons in the past few years. However, their uniforms have not changed in the past decade and need an upgrade to meet current standard regulations based on recent changes in the FHSAA rules and to improve athletic performance. I have volunteered to organize a fundraiser on the beginning of next month to raise money to purchase the new uniform. After doing some research I found out that the new uniform will cost $1,600.00.I PlanningI have a team of 15 volunteers who are willing to assist me in the fundraiser. The local Daytona Beach Fire Department (DBFD) has offered its picnic grove for the fundraiser and therefore it will be our location. The local car dealership, Gary Yeomans Honda, has offered to provide their vans and trucks to deliver food and other goods. The school dance team will also help with entertainment and perform on the stage at the event. Moreover, many other local restaurants and bars have committed to donate food and beverages for the event. How are we going to use the picnic area? The DBFD picnic area can host around 250 people. It has a wooden stage which will allow our dancers to perform. We are going to use the south end of the picnic area for all our food and drink stands. How are we going to collect donations from businesses?Six of our volunteers will be divided into a crew of two. The first crew will be responsible to pick up 45 pizzas from the local pizzeria, Marco’s Pizza, who committed to provide us with pizzas to feed more than 200 people. The second crew will collect drinks from

The last crew will collect and deliver fresh ice cream from the local ice cream seller, Neighbors Ice Cream. How are we going to collect the money? The revenue for the fundraiser will be collected as an entrance fee that we will charge when people enter the event. With an expected 200 people we will only charge a $10 fee, that will give us approximately $2000.00. Any amount over $1600.00 will be used to help the volleyball team with equipment such as balls, volleyball carts, and any other practice equipment they need.
