April 26, 2019Module 4 HEB 1) I do buy store brand products. The main reason that I purchase store brand or own product is due to the lower prices compares to name brand or national products, especially since I am a college student on a tight budget. Also, I feel that although store brand products cost less there is very little differentiation between them and name brand products. Because I perceive the store brand product of good quality for a lower price I personally perceive the store brand products as better or same value as name or national brands. 2) The three requirements that customers look for during the process of buying a product are quality, price, and value. Quality is important because it provides the foundation for which the other requirement rest on. If a product is considered by consumers to be of good quality it will allow for you to price it at a higher level. However, if the product is perceived by consumers as lower quality the firm will be forced to price the product at a lower price and the consumer may not even want to buy it in the first place, which is perfectly summed up in Mr. White’s statement that “cheap crap is still just crap”. The next requirement that customers look at during the buyingprocess is price. Price is important because it is the easiest requirements for customers to observe
