Boone Ave. Spokane, WA 99258 Dear Father Spitzer, The Gonzaga Outdoors program is one the fastest growing clubs on campus today. This year alone, hundreds of students have participated in activities that got them off campus, and enjoying the greatness of the Northwest as well as the rest of the country. The demand was so great that many students were turned down from lack of resources. The Concerned Students of Gonzaga ask that funding be increased and a larger office be provided, so that one of Gonzaga’s finest programs can be allowed to grow to its full potential. There has been a large increase in the interest of outdoors activities from the student body. This past winter all ski trips were overbooked and many where left on the waiting lists. During the annual sign up night, students were in line several hours before opening. The lines became so long that the outdoor directors immediately got together and began planning additional trips to meet the demand. The Utah ski trip, which is traditionally difficult to have full sign ups due to its cost, three hundred dollars, was immediately full
