2Humanistic Perspectives PaperHumanistic and biological views on the growth of personality have helped to understandhow we as humans develop personalities.Theories in the biological and humanistic perspectivefield have aided in answering questions like what causes and what influences our directdevelopment to create unique personalities.In this paper our team will be comparing person-centered theory with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, using Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to discussthe extent in which growth is needed in the influence of personality information, outlining maincomponents of person-centered theory that contribute to personality development and identifythe theory in which our team relates most to and why.Carl Rogers approach to treatment is called client or person-centered-therapy because itsees the individual, rather than the therapist or the treatment process as the center of effectivechange (Heffner, 2016).Instead of focusing on psychopathology and what goes wrong withpeople, Maslow (1943) formulated a more positive account of human behavior, which focusedon what goes right (Mcleod, 2016).Both approaches have been proven to be effective in helpingindividuals in his or her time of need.Although Maslow was more of a theorist, Rogers’approach was more of therapy for the patient.Maslow's hierarchy discusses the pattern that human have needs and if they are not metthen we may begin to feel anxious and tense.The hierarchy makes a determination that people
