Describe the Milgram experiment. How does it conflict with informed consent guidelines for research? How do you feel about the Milgram experiment? The Milgram experiment instructed participants to use high voltage and try to shock someone in a different room. This can conflict with consent guidelines because the people believed they were shocking a real person and they were unaware they were shocking someone who was a confederate of Milgram. I think it is a bit ‘out there’ but I understand why someone would want to conduct it....
