Unformatted text preview: rvice life would be a maximum of approximately 10 million switching cycles. Depending on design, relatively high electrical voltages and currents can be transmitted. In the case of a mechanical limit switch, the gap which separates two open contacts of different polarity is described as the contact gap. Switch-over times of mechanical micro limit switches are in the range of 1 – 15 ms. When electromechanical position switches are used for counting operations, contact bounce should be taken into consideration.
