Explain at
least two ways
fake news could affect the results of the upcoming 2020
Presidential elections?
-Fake news affects a voter’s opinion and the mass media. If fake news is spreading lies about
a candidate, then the viewer of that fact news can lean towards other candidates who are fit
for being a president. Fake news can go viral in the matter of minutes, and make the mass
majority believe in the news and create a following based on lies.

What can companies like Facebook and Twitter do to stop users from spreading fake
news? What can we, as consumers, do? What do you think would work, especially with
younger users?
-I definitely think something can be done, but fake news actually drives more traffic to their
social media page and I think the owners care about more revenue and traffic than for the
truth of the upcoming election. Plus, there’s 100’s of pages that do fact news and it’s hard to
deny them the right to post what they want. But also, the president Donald trump had a private
