Performance Review 2/15/2007 Mus 231 In order to observe live Jazz in the Tucson I ventured out onto the town; eventually leading me to a fun little hole in the wall place called The French Quarter. With quirky and appropriate ‘mardi gras’ decorations covering every table, wall and even the ceiling, you feel like you have actually stepped onto Bourbon St. The walls are made of brick (or as much of brick you can get in Arizona) accompanied with green shutters to enhance the experience that much more. The center of attention in this establishment is no question the stage they have located at the front entrance. I went to this restaurant for the first time on Thursday, February 15, 2007. I am unsure of the names of the people in the band, as I couldn’t understand what they said and it was entirely too loud to get any sort of answer out of anyone. Regardless of their names, the band consisted of three men and one woman. The men played an electric guitar, saxophone and drums, while the woman was holding her own on the tenor saxophone.
