Unformatted text preview: Everyone has a some kind of relationship weather it is with a family, friend, romantic, teacher, or peer. There has been a point in that relationship where we have wanted to improve it. Relationship listening is a key point in improving our relationships. Relationship listening is to improve a relationship between two people or to help an individual. The main focus in relationship listening is understanding the other person. Therapeutic listening is used for helping an individual person. Counselors use this technique to talk to a person who has a problem, but is troubled. When you hear the phrase getting things off your chest what comes to mind? Relationship listening is when you let your friends blow off their steam to you. There are three behaviors in relationship listening that are important: attending, supporting, and empathizing. -Attending is just the listening part of the conversation.
