3EXECUTIVE SUMMARYWithout the help and support of each members, we would not be able to complete this case studyon time. We are particularly grateful to Madam Siti Farah Binti Lajim for her guidance throughoutthe semester in making sure all assignments are done properly.The main purpose of this report is to evaluate and analyze the case study given by our lectureras a part of our assignment. By doing a lot of research from journals and the internet, we havelearnt and understand a lot about Turkey. Culture influences how people interact with each other.As in the business world, culture guides decision-making, behavior, thinking patterns and alsovalues.Each country has distinguished national and regional culture characteristics. The success of anyprospective foreign business partnership depends a lot on good understanding of differentcountries. Etiquette such as handshakes, expected dress standards and acceptable physicaldistance during conversation are required sensitivity to avoid misunderstandings.Firstly, in this report, we have identified the background of the country. Next we proceed by findingout the products that they provide as their main export. We alsodo researches on Turkey’seconomy system, political system, culture, their entry modes to other country and lastly, the mainfactors that have contributed the most to the development underdevelopment of the country.
4BACKGROUND OF TURKEYAs for the map, Turkey is a country that has a unique geographic position, it is located partly inAsia and partly in Europe. It has acted as both barrier and a bridge between the two continents.Its location is situated at the crossroads of Balkans, Caucasus, Middle East and easternMediterranean. Turkey is one of the larger countries in terms of its territory and population.Besides, its land area is greater than any of European state. Next,turkey’s capital is Ankara, andits large city and seaport is Istanbul. Lastly, the four main region of Turkey are the northern foldedzone, the southern folded zone, the central massif, and the Arabian platform.The Turkey national flag consists of a red field for its background, star and crescent as the central.
