Problem:How many of you get the right amount of sleep that you need and feel refresh in the morning when you wake up? Do you get 7-9 hours? Well College students are lucky if they get to sleep for possibly 4 hours. So today we will be considering the factors of why sleep is so important. Reference:According to an article by HuffPost Published November 13, 2012 “The Importance of getting sleep in college” says that sleep plays such an important role in keeping our body and mind focus. Us being young adults require something like 8.5 to 9.5 hours of sleep every night. However in a survey that they conducted they found that about only 15% of college students get that much sleep. Visualization/Cause:Picture a world where most of us are super sleep deprived. With all the night study sessions, stress, socializing and having the freedom to choose when you want to sleep all work accordingly to disrupt sleep in college. Many of us attempt to get through the day with 6 hours of sleep and say to ourselves I’ll just catch up on sleep over the weekend. Well, we are wrong for saying that the idea of catching up does more harm to us than good. Why? Because it upsets the body’s biological clock and the quality of your sleep. Opposing viewpoint: Some people think that taking quick naps throughout the day can help boost your energy.
