Situation: women is telling her husband about their wedding plans, which sets a happy, excited tone since anything relates to wedding means the most euphoric, loving time for a couple Diction: -uses “bouncing” =emphasizes that she’s being so overly excitement that her body also express hype by jumping; normally associate “bouncing” as body language with being bubbly -”Joyous glow” & “lit up” = description of her face/body expression; both phrases excludes a “sunshine” aura with “glow” and “lit”, which represents a bright, happy tone as she saying her plans 2. She huddled in the corner, clutching her tattered blanket and shaking convulsively , as she feverishly searched the room for the unknown dangers that awaited her.
Situation: -She is trying to build up warmth by cuddling up with a blanket , while frantically searching for something that might scare her = helps me see this sets an anxious, scary/fearful tone Diction= -uses “ clutching” as a verb to how she holds on her blanket= holding her blanket tightly= her stress reliever for her being afraid -”shaking convulsively”= meaning she’s greatly shaking(strongly), which dramatize the description her body reaction with fear -”unknown”= mysterious tone creates more fear towards the dangers - “feverishly”= she is in a chaotic, ditzy, blank mindset because she is distracted of being scared of what’s to come 3 . Sh e lay on the couch in a white evening dress, whispering softly in the ear of her fiancé , running her fingers through his hair and gently nibbling his earlobes Situation= the bride is whispering and nippling her fiance’s ear; run fingers through his hair; basically purposely touching her husband in a pleasurable way= creates an intimate, sensual tone between the couple since it shows she is intentionally seducing her fiance. Diction= “whispering softly”- bride wanted to entranced her fiance with a sweet, soothing voice = creates a gentle tone -”gently nibbling his earlobe”= “gently” &”nibbling” both show seductive, pleasuring aura 4.
