1The Raven Argumentative EssayThe famous poem “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe, which was published in 1845, isabout a man saddened by the loss of his love “Lenore.” The poem expresses great sadness, givesa very eerie feeling, and seems dark and depressing. I believe the poem “The Raven” appears tobe imaginary because of a few key things he states in the poem. The poet mentions the Ravencame to him as he fell asleep; this insinuates that the Raven came to him in his dreams.
