CULTURE A dominant and coherent set of shared values conveyed by symbolic means  such as stories, the way we do things around here, set of shared values,  beliefs and norms. Primary dimensions of culture Innovation and risk taking o Encouraging people to be creative and think outside the box or do you  expect them to just maintain the status quo Attention to detail o Focus on the big picture or pay attention to smaller details Outcome orientation o Worry about the outcome and the result, or worry about how we get  there People orientation o Worry about fairness and support and emphasis on the people, or  concerned with a more mechanistic approach and worrying about  profits Team orientation o Individual work or collaborative and team focused Aggressiveness o Harsh with competitors or alleviate competition through cooperation Stability o Dynamic and fast paced company, or static and stable corporate
