1530-1648) 07/04/2008 10:59:00 Religion has less influence of politics during this time Lutherans Calvinists Laid the groundwork for capitalism but didn’t necessarily create it Catholics Maintain the medieval way Anglicans Lutheran Calvinists and Catholics mixed together—England’s version of  Lutheran Anabaptist Vague group to pin down. No leader, no handbook. They were fervent  protestants. Disagreed with Lutherans and Catholics.  Anabaptist=To re-baptize. An adult should embrace the Christian faith. All of  these people have been baptized once already but re-baptize too.  Teachings: stressed that God can enlighten anyone- personal enlightenment  or at any time. Women could become enlightened also (unlike in Lutheran)  and preach to man. (Southern Germany and Switzerland) Spiritual equality
