Scott Donnelly 11/1/07 UNIV 100 Erin Iverson Diversity Paper Discovering Who I Am A personality is defined as distinctive qualities of an individual, especially those distinguishing personal characteristics that make one socially appealing. ..it is what makes us unique. Our personalities help us to make friends and have specific experiences that make us feel better about who we are. My life experiences have nurtured a variety of personality traits that make me feel that I am a well balanced individual. During my high school soccer days, there is one game that sticks out in my mind that made me feel accomplished after working hard and training all these years. This one match displayed how my athleticism and dedication was applied at the right moment to overcome any obstacles. With whistle in hand, the referee kicked off the game and started the clock. The rival team won the coin toss so they started with the ball. The action took place on both sides of the field as players were crossing balls into the goalie box for a chance to score or slide tackling to prevents others from shooting. With equal opportunities to score a goal but still no shots went in, it appeared that the game was going to stay as a draw. Thankfully, from a brilliant run down the left side, our team was able to put the ball in the back of the net off of a cross. The bleachers were going crazy as fans from my high school were now on their feet wanting us to maintain the lead. Unfortunately, the bleachers settled down as the opposition scored a goal only a minutes later.
