Teachers have a significant role when it comes to matters of motivating students and engaging them. Therefore, teachers need to pay attention to students body language to know whether they are concentrating on the main objective. The body language involves talking to students to lead them in a meaningful conversation which is appropriate for learning topics. Eventually, students’ develop independence by forming their own thoughts, and views and can be active in discussions by taking turns and raising their hand when a question or open forum arises. For instance, in kindergarten, teachers use turn and talk method they give the students a topic, and they work in partners and discuss the topic assigned by the teacher. The teacher then has the class come together and discuss in the whole group what they talk about. To promote independence or collaborative learning, I, as the instructor will have students come in pairs and singles and share their view or what they discussed. Also, if a student is stuck or confused on a topic, it is important to share with the teacher the issue.
