EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHILD/ADULT ABUSE INFORMATION ACT BACKGROUND CHECK NOTIFICATION Dear Prospective Employee/Volunteer: In order to protect our students, faculty, and staff, Everett Community College may, at its  sole discretion, conduct background checks on prospective employees with the  Washington State Patrol. Businesses, organizations and others in the state of Washington,  who educate, train, treat, supervise, house or provide recreation to children under sixteen  years of age, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults may do a  background check on prospective employees, volunteers, or adoptive parents under the  Child/Adult Abuse Information Act. Please complete this form pursuant to the  Child/Adult Abuse Laws (RCW 43.43.830-43.43.845). We can do a background check at  the time of initial employment only. You will be notified of the results and provided with  a copy once the background check has been completed.
