Theater 112G/ Private Lives 4/30/07 I attended Private Lives by Noel Coward, performed at The Haymarket Theatre. I went to this play April 20, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. I was skeptical of this play at first, due to the fact that I had not heard of it before. I was pleasantly surprised with the play. I found it to be a hilarious story based on somewhat realistic ideas. It made the idea of divorce and arguments into a lighter, funnier idea. The part that I most enjoyed was when they ran into each other on their honeymoons, with their second marriage. The actors and the directors did a nice job explaining the plot of the story. Although it was an easy plot to follow, the director did a nice job keeping it entertaining. What I enjoyed most was the acting that went on between the spouses. It was good chemistry between Victor and Amanda Prynne while they were fighting.

I would recommend this play for anybody who wants a good laugh. I appreciated the humor in the play and got a good laugh out of it. What made it funny was that it could actually happen in real life. This play is not the typical comedy, and I feel that most people can appreciate that....
