Jess Tilley Your hair is done, your make-up is perfect and your outfit is going to turn heads. Going to parties can be a lot of fun, getting ready and feeling good about yourself has a lot to do with it. Picking out the perfect outfit can be crucially hard, but it’s when you’re actually at the party that you have to do the most thinking. The three most important things to remember are the buddy system, drink security, and sober transportation. Keeping friends with you or at least staying in a pair in order to help and monitor each other is known as the “buddy system.” At the University of Delaware in 2004, 18 year old Rachel Payne was attending an off-campus fraternity party with friends. She apparently left the party and got lost while looking for her dormitory, Rachel’s BAC was over three times the legal limit. Her body was found the next day on a railroad trestle where she was struck and killed. Her death was determined to be from massive head and
