Sam Lanzino English 101 3/31/07 Sidney Crosby Interview When and where were you born? I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 7 th , 1987. At what age did you first start to play hockey? The first time I picked up a hockey stick was when I was two years old. I would shoot pucks in my basement at our dryer. My father played professional hockey for the Montreal Canadiens, so he pushed me at a very young age. He gave me my first pair of skates when I was about three years old. When did you start playing hockey for a team? And when did you realize that you were skilled at the game? Not long after I got my skates. When I was around the age of seven the local papers started to come to my games and write articles about me. When I was ten I scored around 159 goals for my midgets team. I believed I finished that season with around 280 points, so I could say that’s probably the year I realized that I was good at what I was doing. Did you ever play on a high school team?
