Carl Crittenden February 26, 2007 FWS MWF 11 Put a number on a grave Open Case Number 286, Victim 1, New York Police Department: The victim had been found in a New York City Dumpster behind the McDonalds on 38 th street. The culprit ripped off the clothes of the deceased and wrapped the body in a black trash bag. No personal belongings, such as wallet, watch, or cell phone, could be obtained from the crime scene. The tips of his fingers have been ironed off, making it impossible to print him. All hair had been shaven off of the body, including eyebrows and mustache. Mug shots have been distributed to all New York area newspapers, but unfortunately, after burn marks and bashes to the head, the face looks disfigured compared to the original state. The damage makes it very difficult for anyone to identify him. The autopsy found that the man had been dead for nearly three months before being found in the garbage. After this time frame, DNA from the blood can not be acquired because all the bodily fluids that remained in his body dried up. It can not be
