Coke is dedicated to protecting labor rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular women migrants, and those in precarious employment. 54% of Coke’s priority ingredients volume was sourced sustainably in 2019, compared to 44% in 2018 (2019 Business & Sustainability Report., 2019).3. Climate: Coke is taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Cokeis strengthening resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries.4. Packaging: Coke is tackling waste recycling and beyond. Coke makes sure each packaging type has its benefits and trade-offs, depending on the material and its attributes, such as its recycled content, reusability and recyclability; the rate at which thepackage is recovered; and its impacts if it is not properly managed when discarded (2019 Business & Sustainability Report., 2019). Reducing Added Sugar: Coke is aggressively changing recipes to reduce added sugar, promoting low and no-calorie beverage options while making smaller packages more available to enable portion control. Pepsi has delivered safe water access to 44 million people since 2006, far surpassing our goal of 25 million people by 2025.
