Things like putting their kids in diapers, giving them the occasional time out, and sending them to summer camp. But all parents are a little bit different, and parenting techniques that Americans consider entirely ordinary could be shocking to people in other parts of the world. Parenting styles have always been a debate. From local neighborhoods, to religious groups to countries worldwide. But a country’s culture does play an enormous role in how parents choose to raise their children. Traditionally, countries within Asia are very disciplined and ride their children to the point of almost mindless obedience. On the opposite side, countries in Europe have been known to be more relaxed and allowing more independence from such a young age. European parents tend to let their children make their own mistakes in hopes the child will naturally learn their lessons.
