Learning to sound out unfamiliar words while reading and beginning to write. 2. Better capacity to explain and describe experiecnes than before. 3. Ability to focus/concentrate on a task has increased to around 20 minutes. 1. Develop first molars/baby teeth start falling out. 2. Growth steadily increasing - roughly 2-2.5 inches per year. 3.Fine and gross motor development increases - fine motor with learning how to write and gross motor with running, skipping, and jumping. 1. More focused of friend relationships - want to be accepted and liked by peers. 2.Can now tell simple jokes 3. Empathy continues to develop - understands the feelings of others more
