Gender development Intergroup Theorists As soon as you can ask, kids will have stereotypes Average number time to stereotyped answers 22/24 Preferences show gender and racial biases The question became why? How come kids do this? Where does it come from? First guess is always parents, even by research Research comes to show that it is wrong Parents attitudes is not correlated with kids Kids in college DO correlate They don’t know why college kids are different They thought that parents were lying But this showed that this is not true. Facts 1. No correlation between kids and parents 2. They found a trend Stereotyping started until 3 and increased until age 7 and then decreases It is unexplained why 3. The books the were pro gender and racial equality did not work The books made kids worse some of the time She is a cognitive development theorist. Maybe cognitive development has something to do with children’s
