In John 15:1-11, the point in Jesus’s teaching is that He is the way and that when we live our lives with Him, we become more fruitful. In verse 5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 NIV). When we follow Jesus, and we have His words in our hearts, we will bear much happiness. Without Jesus in our hearts, we will do nothing, we will simply exist as another person on earth. b. How might someone from an atheist or pantheistic worldview see the concepts of this passage differently? Jesus’s teaching in John 15:1-11 says that when we live our lives close to God and those who may believe in Him, will be more fruitful than those who do not believe. Looking at this teaching from an atheist worldview, these people might view this teaching as somewhat pointless as they do not believe in God.
