Kevin Pintauro April 1, 2008 121 S 06 WPQ 10 1. Conroy comes off as a person with some inner-problems that need to be worked on in short-term intense therapy sessions (or a traumatic experience). The long-term sessions probably wouldn’t work for him because he is impatient and would be able to come up with better excuses for his behavior than “my wife”. His behavior and thoughts make me think that he is nervous when he criticizes little things about the event and indirectly criticizes the other guests’ intelligence. But other than that, I do think that Conroy is a good person with good intentions who takes initiative and leads. 2. It took a blow to Conroy’s heart to open up his mind. He finally becomes aware of his surroundings and how he really feels about them; particularly his wife. He has lost a part of her or at least never had a part of her that he thought he had always had. Her love was not entirely for Conroy; something he took for granted. He is then able to confide with his wife like he never has
