The Business Research Division produces a quarterly leading indicator that measures the expectations of Colorado business leaders. Now in its ninth year, the Leeds Business Confidence Index (LBCI) asks business leaders about their expectations for the national and state economies, hiring, capital expenditures, sales, and profits. These metrics are reported in an aggregated index, as well as individually. Colorado Labor Force and Employment Looking back at the results for 2011, the forward-looking LBCI showed positive but waning the state, and presented by the Business Research Division (BRD) of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. This book presents historical data and forward-looking estimates on employment for each sector of the economy.
